About
Delicasa.com is based in
the
Netherlands and was founded as Delicasa.nl in 2002 by Ralph Michels.
Today, Delicasa.com is the retailchannel and
wineportal of the Delicasa Group. The Delicasa Group, is a very
succesfull importer and distributor of the finest quality wines from
all regions in the World. Today's focus is mainly Italy, Germany,
Southern Rhone, Spain and Australia.
Delicasa.com is renowned for the quality of their portfolio. We only
sell wine that are considered to be at least above average in quality.
We do not work with consuling sommeliers or other skilled staff, as we
think independent judgement on our wines is the best way to serve our
customers. We sell wines that are considered to be high quality wines
by independent journalists from the Wine Advokate, Winespectator,
Gambero Rosso, Veronelli, etc, etc.
Our suppliers are in 95% the wineproducers themselves. We cut out the
middleman in the value chain and thus we are able to offer our wines to
30-50% less than conventional bricks and mortar retailshops.
